Changes to The Rotary Foundation Reports

To provide better information to Rotarians worldwide, changes have been made to the reports that are made available to clubs and districts worldwide -- and we've created a new report for EREY donors -- that's Every Rotarian, Every Year! Now, clubs will be able to track when their members' last contributions were received by the Foundation and verify that the contributions were submitted correctly. This will help clubs comply with the 90 day limit on submitting corrections to have contributions moved from one fund to another. Better yet, the report can be viewed by active club members only or the report can list everyone associated with the club, like non-Rotarian Paul Harris Fellows that are credited to the club.

Also, for clubs that are vying for Rotary Foundation banner recognition, they will want to keep an eye on the new EREY Eligility Report based on contributions to the Annual Programs Fund only. These contributions are what come back to our district to be spent on Foundation programs like District Simplified Grants that clubs may apply for as well as Ambassadorial Scholars, Matching Grants, Volunteer Service Grants, Grants for University Teachers, etc.

Congratulations, DG Pam! The new Rotary year has barely begun and already you are hard at work. I'm interested in this new EREY Report. How can club members who are not officers view it? Can we just see our own level of giving or does it automatically indicate all Club members? Thanks. Charlotte Ogorek RC of Park Ridge

Dear Charlotte -- and fellow Rotarians:

Currently, the new EREY Eligibility Report (Annual Programs Fund) is available only to the District Governor, District Rotary Foundation Chair, District Annual Giving Subcommittee Chair and the new club presidents and club secretaries (who gained access to these reports on 1 July 2008)through Member Access at www.rotary.org. Thus, the individual Rotarian cannot view this report. We hope to extend access within the next few months to the club Foundation chairs and club treasurers. This report does not show contributions, rather it "flags" donors'accounts as an "EREY" when one has contributed some amount to the Annual Programs Fund during the Rotary year; a Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member when one has contributed $100 or more to the Annual Programs Fund; and *Paul Harris Society when the donor contributed $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund. (Note, the EREY Eligibility Report reports on Annual Programs Fund contributions only. EREY is an annual giving program only.

Clubs can use this report to help them determine if they are eligible to receive Rotary Foundation club banner recognition as an EREY CLUB, 100% Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member Club or to monitor club/district member participation in the district's Paul Harris Society. Encourage your club officers to print out this report to share with the club at a meeting. Clicking on "Club Members" provide information on active members only -- the criteria used in determining banner recognition. Clubs can all look to see activity on how everyone associated with the club including non-member Paul Harris Fellows but non-members are not calculated into banner recognition achievements, only active members.

For more information on this report or others, call the Contact Center at 1-866-9ROTARY.

Thanks for asking!
